India-Africa Partnership in Agriculture launched

Launching India Africa Partnership in Agriculture (IAPA), consisting of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), and International Agriculture Consulting Group (ICAG), Dr. S Ayyappan, DG, ICAR said that, "the new partnership will transform Africa and significantly contribute to the global food security." India is committed to the sustainable agriculture development of Africa under the South-South Initiative. “The new platform will take on board various stakeholders and provide the Indian expertise and experiences to support African countries in finding solutions to their food, agriculture, and development challenges," added DG, ICRISAT Dr. William Dar.

IACG President, Dr. MJ Khan asserted that the collective strength of three powerful partners will be able to make a substantial difference to the engagement of India with the African continent. He added that IACG would serve as an effective delivery vehicle to execute projects and programs of varied natures, whether sponsored by the Government of India or other national and international organizations or India’s corporate sector. He said in his welcome address that the Indian Government and corporations remain committed to participating in Africa’s development and already a large number of Indian agri companies are playing a significant role.

IACG signed off an agreement with Farm Logics to work together both in Asia and Africa

An MOU was signed between the International Agriculture Consulting Group and IBA Ethiopia during the African Innovation Week 2019. The MOU was signed by Dr Dinesh Chauhan, CEO and Director of IACG, and Mr. Ashenafi Mulugeta, Founder and Managing Director of IBA Ethiopia.

Oriental Pastoral Ecological Guizhou” Characteristic Efficient Agriculture Promotion Forum

New Delhi 19 Dec 2018, IACG-GIIC China hosted a Senior Government Delegation from China led by HE Meng Quilang Vice Chairman of CPPCC of Guizhou Province. High high-powered delegation discussed regarding promotion of agricultural trade, precision farming and big data opportunities in Guizhou province. Also, Guizhou province was willing to offer solutions for improving the sanitization and cleanliness of rural India. Mr Meng Quilang Vice Chairman of CPPCC stated that there have been a lot of similarities historically between India and China and further he expressed keen interest in taking further steps to enhance mutual cooperation and bilateral trade. Dr Dinesh Chauhan CEO of International Agriculture Consulting Group made a detailed presentation on trade and investment opportunities in India and how both India and China can help in promoting bilateral trade relationships between the two countries. Around a dozen CEOs from leading Indian companies in agriculture, irrigation, and AgTech solutions were present. Speaking at the occasion he also stated that IACG will be assisting in the business facilitation of various Indian companies to establish trade relations with Guizhou province in the near future.

The high-level meeting organized by IACG in collaboration with ICRISAT and ICAR had a diverse and high-level participation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of External Affairs, USAID, EXIM Bank, IL&FS, Agri-industry, Agriculture Universities, Research Institutions and several African Embassies. Among the important participants were Dr. LS Rathore, DG, IMD, Mr. Sanjeev Chopra, Joint Secretary, Agriculture, Mr. Ravi Bangar, Joint Secretary, MEA, Mr. Sanjiv Kohli, Joint Secretary, MEA, Dr. Purvi Mehta, Asia Director, ILRI, Dr. Julian Parr, Asia Director, CIP International, Mr. K Jindal, CEO, NABARD, Mr. Bahiri Dugumu, Head – F&A, USAID, Mr. RK Mittal, Vice Chancellor, RAU, Mrs. Gennet Zewde, Ambassador Ethiopia, Mr. Ali Illiassou, Ambassador, Niger, besides 9 Directors and 3 Dy Director Generals of ICAR and over two dozen of Counsellors of Embassies and agri industry CEOs.

First state to work towards this concept in the country

Dr Dinesh Chauhan, Director and CEO, IACG with Mr Subodh Uniyal, Cabinet Minister Agriculture, Cabinet Minister Uttarakhand. Got to know initiatives being taken by the State Government towards doubling of farmer's income by 2022. Promising state especially working towards partial consolidation. First state to work towards this concept in the country.

International Agriculture Consulting Group signed off an agreement with Farm Logics to work together both in Asia and Africa. Dinesh Chauhan (PhD) CEO and Director, IACG, and Mr Arun, CEO and CoFounder of Farm Logics signed the agreement. Both organizations are already operating in Africa and Asia. Some of the locations where we are present are India, Ghana, Mozambique, Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, etc IACG also have its regional representatives present in Dubai, Australia, Israel, UK , US , Canada etc.
